HISTORY

The Vermilion Country Club was built in the 1920's. The golf course construction of the time dates you to the old style of small push-up greens, which make iron play critical. Miss a green and short side yourself; you will then be looking at a difficult flop wedge. You will rarely get a straight putt with most greens two tiered or built into hillsides.

The Vermilion Country Club was purchased by Arnold and Marie Pena in 1969. From the start they created a family environment that still exists today. Then in 2005, Arnold and Marie passed the torch to son Terry and his wife Donna. With many new improvements they strive to move the VCC towards the future.
